The client is a large investment management firm. It has a Foreign Exchange business that is ‘incidental’ to support the main business. However, the management recognised the potential to convert that into a strategic growth business and wanted innovative ideas to achieve the same. A current state assessment of the business and existing capabilities was initially conducted, followed by a strategic review with the execs. A board level plan was then created, brainstormed and proposed. Parts of that have since been implemented.
